PCOS Women’s Clinic
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Dr. Felice Gersh is a globally renowned expert in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Her passion for finding holistic treatments for this common endocrine disorder began with her own health. Dr. Gersh has PCOS and because the condition runs in families, many of the women who are nearest and dearest to her heart also have PCOS.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is not a reproductive disorder. It is a whole-body endocrine disorder that impacts a wide range of hormones, including estrogen, testosterone, melatonin, and cortisol. Menstrual irregularity and infertility are two common symptoms, but women with PCOS also have much higher rates of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, blood clotting disorders, endometrial cancer, sleep disorders, anxiety, and depression. Many women with PCOS also have hirsutism (dark hair growth on their face, chest, and back), alopecia (thinning scalp hair), and chronic acne.

For this complex, whole-body disorder, many women have simply prescribed birth control pills and, when they are ready to start a family, fertility treatments. This treatment protocol hides many PCOS symptoms but does nothing to address the root cause of PCOS.

To give women a path to true PCOS health, fertility, and vitality, Dr. Gersh wrote her groundbreaking bestseller, PCOS SOS, and her soon-to-be-released companion book, PCOS SOS Fertility Fast Track.

The PCOS Women’s Clinic

The response has been overwhelming. To better accommodate the many women who want to treat their PCOS holistically, Dr. Gersh opened the PCOS Women’s Clinic in 2019. This is a small clinic housed within the Integrative Medical Group of Irvine that is dedicated to providing the best comprehensive, integrative healthcare specifically tailored to women with PCOS.

All under one roof, the PCOS Women’s Clinic offers:

Advanced testing: Every woman’s PCOS is unique. We identify your specific variation of PCOS and also contributing factors such as exposure to BPA, heavy metals, and other endocrine disruptors.

Nutraceutical therapies: We often achieve better results with fewer side effects using highly targeted supplements instead of pharmaceuticals, which are often endocrine disruptors themselves and create a laundry list of negative side effects. We are also experienced in the therapeutic use of cannabis and CBD.

Fertility enhancement: When you are ready to grow your family, we will show you how to optimize your natural fertility so you have the best chance to conceive naturally, have an uncomplicated pregnancy, and give birth to a healthy baby. For women who end up needing more advanced fertility treatments, we will help you maximize your chances of success.

Aesthetics: Many PCOS symptoms impact your physical appearance. How you look can deeply impact how you feel, so we offer laser hair removal, a wide variety of effective acne treatments, and PRP scalps treatments that can help regrow hair.
Nutritional counseling: Food is medicine. We will teach you how to nourish your body so your cells can heal. When you eat is as important as what you eat. We will also introduce you to the life-changing benefits of time-restricted eating and fasting.

Fitness programs: You don’t need to become a gym rat, but there are simple lifestyle changes that we will guide you through that will increase your overall physical activity, lower your insulin resistance, improve your gut microbiome, and dramatically improve your health.

Mind-body health: Women with PCOS are prone to anxiety and depression. We teach you how to use guided imagery, aromatherapy, essential oils, light therapy, and supplements to improve mental health. We have on-site massage and acupuncture and partner with highly-skilled therapists.

Conventional treatments: We believe that healthcare providers should use the safest, most natural treatments first, but every woman is different. For women in health crises and for women where natural treatments aren’t enough, we employ a full range of conventional medical and pharmaceutical therapies.

Comprehensive Program for PCOS

PCOS is a common condition affecting 10 – 25% of all women. Unfortunately, it often goes both undiagnosed and untreated. We have combined decades of experience – both personal and clinical – with extensive research into this complex problem to develop a revolutionary approach.

It starts off with a sophisticated array of advanced testing and tools that gives us insight into your state of inflammation, the condition of your gut microbiome, your nutritional status, your genetic and epigenetic status, and the balance of your hormones.

We then craft a unique treatment plan specifically for you, one that combines the very latest conventional, naturopathic and holistic therapies to extinguish the smoldering embers of inflammation and help your body rediscover and reassert its own unique personal rhythms.

Finding knowledgeable and compassionate medical care in any community can be challenging, particularly when complex medical conditions are involved. And finding a fellowship-trained integrative medical doctor may be impossible. To answer this need we offer the following telemedicine options.

TeleMedicine Appointments for California Residents

Though we always encourage initial visits to be in person, in-state residents have the option of scheduling initial and all follow-up visits via phone or Skype, during which all aspects of health can be specifically addressed. Callers under 18 years old require parental consent.

TeleMedicine Appointments for Residents Outside California

Differing state laws make telemedicine more challenging, though certainly not impossible. Your first visit must be at our Irvine, California, office. Follow-up appointments can be accomplished by phone or Skype, but periodic visits to our office are required. State laws are expected to change and will become less restrictive in the future.

International patients have more flexibility with appointments. Callers under 18 years of age require parental consent.

If you would like to arrange a TeleMedicine Appointment, please call our office at (949) 753-7475.

Schedule Your Appointment

We do allow individual appointments to be purchased, but for most, that becomes more costly and less comprehensive in scope. If you are uncertain which approach is best for you, we suggest that you begin the process with a consultation appointment with Dr. Felice Gersh, and then decide based upon your proposed diagnosis and treatment plan.
