If you are admitted to a hospital for a planned or unplanned procedure and you want Dr. Gersh to advise on your medical care, call the IMGI office at (949) 753-7475. If it is outside of normal business hours, leave a message with the answering service and it will get forwarded immediately to Dr. Gersh’s cell phone. She will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Dr. Gersh has admitting privileges at Saddleback Memorial Hospital and Hoag Hospital (Newport and Irvine campuses). If you are at a different hospital, Dr. Gersh can still be part of your medical team, but you may need to sign some additional paperwork.

We know unexpected life events happen. If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact us at least 2 full business days ahead of time.

You may cancel your appointment through the patient portal or by calling our office at (949) 753-7475. Please do not send an email or attempt to cancel using the contact form on this webpage.

We reserve substantial amounts of time for patient appointments and, unfortunately, we are typically unable to fill last-minute cancellation spots with other patients.

There is no fee for appointments cancellations made more than 48 hours / 2 business days ahead of a scheduled appointment. For appointments canceled with less notice and for no-show appointments, we charge patients for the full cost of the visit. We credit the entire missed appointment fee to your account and it can be applied toward a replacement appointment that is made and kept within 30 days of the missed appointment.

Copy of Health Records

You may request a copy of your health record at any time. We charge $15-100 or more for a copy of your health record depending on the volume of information and administrative time required. Please allow 7-10 days for your request to be processed.

Consent to Release Records

HIPAA regulations require us to receive written consent from you prior to sharing your confidential health information with any outside party. If you would like to send records from our practice to another provider, please complete and return a Consent to Release Records form.

Lab Results

Copies of patient lab results are made available to a patient only after the ordering doctor has reviewed them.
