Seniors have very different metabolic functioning and very specific needs and concerns. Dosing of pharmaceuticals can dramatically change as we age, yet few physicians are aware of the special medical concerns of the elderly.
Dr. Nancy Councelbaum, our internist, has a certification as a specialized physician qualified to care for seniors. This is a very small group of specialists and we are extremely fortunate to have her as part of our team.
We strongly encourage all of our senior patients and their friends and family to choose Dr. Councelbaum as their primary physician. As proof of her successful doctoring are the many patients she cares for who are well into their nineties.
